The Elderly and Disabled Waiver is a statewide program designed to offer assistance to qualified Medicaid beneficiaries. This program allows qualified individuals to remain in a home or community-based setting.  Beneficiaries must be 21 years of age or older, persons qualify by either SSI, or 300% of SSI; (There is no PLAD group.), beneficiaries must score 50 or above on the Medicaid Long-Term Care Pre-Admission Screening (PAS) instrument, and persons must require nursing facility level of care, if assistance is not provided. All persons who are eligible to receive Home and Community-Based Services under this Waiver must first be approved through the Division of Medicaid.  Services offered include:

Escorted Transportation

Adult Day Care

Respite

Home Health Aid


 

ECPDD serves as an Area Agency on Aging (AAA) with programs and services funded through the Mississippi Department of Human Services Division of Aging & Adult Services, and the Mississippi  Department of Employment Security.  Theses services directly or indirectly impact the lives of older persons, but all work together with the common interest of improving the quality of life for older individuals.
